Baby Safety Products for the Modern Mom

Baby Safety Monitor

With September being National Baby Safety Month I have partnered with Snuza and Decco for this post and have received samples for review. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I never thought I was a nervous person until I became a Mom. Constant worries run through my mind day and night. Is my newborn breathing? Is my toddler trying to escape his crib (again!)? Will he leave his room and fall down the stairs? Some accidents are just unavoidable, but most can be prevented. That is why baby safety is so important.

As a modern Mom of two under two, I will take as much help as possible making sure my little ones stay safe. I find myself relying on technology to help me out a lot. Two of my favorite baby tech gadgets that I am constantly relying on are the ToddlerMonitor and the Snuza Hero. They definitely help ease my mind and most importantly keep my kids safe.

Decco The ToddlerMonitor is a monitor that will alert you if your toddler is on the move. All I do is hang the toddlermonitor on my son’s door knob and set it from my smartphone. If he tries to leave his bedroom it will send an alarm to my phone. We introduced Danny to “Mr. Decco”, the friendly monster, that will keep him safe in his room. He knows Decco hangs on the door to protect him. Now that we are transitioning him to his toddler bed it is that much easier for him to leave his room at night which makes me so grateful for this monitor. Put your mind at ease and get your Toddlermonitor here.

Doubly duty!!! The ToddlerMonitor also works well as a pool safety device. With drowning being the leading cause of death between ages 1-4 years old, awareness is key. I use the Toddler monitor on our main level door that leads out to our pool. If our toddler somehow manages to open the door to go outside, I am alerted immediately. With so many distractions this is one area you don’t want to mess around with.

The Snuza HERO SE is a device I use on my newborn baby whenever she is asleep. I used to be that Mom that stays awake while the baby is sleeping just to watch and make sure she is breathing. Well… not anymore. All I do is clip the Snuza HERO SE monitor to my little girl’s diaper and it will detect even the slightest abnormalities in breathing for me. If there is no abdominal movement in 15 seconds, it will vibrate to wake her and after another 5 seconds, it will sound an audible alarm to notify me. It is so easy-to-use and I am now able to sleep without worry.  Check out the Snuza HERO SE here.

Products and technology should not replace the responsibility of parents or care takers. These products are merely tools to assist in the supervision of your little ones but cannot replace YOU. Take baby safety seriously, our little ones depend on us.
